As part of our plunket committee we're looking at doing a raffle at our upcoming fabric auction. I'm thinking of offering to organise it, but have no idea where to start with asking people to donate goods/services for a raffle. So I'm hoping some lovely people here could give me and idea of what to say, where to ask etc. It would much appreciated.

You could do a cash raffle. You basically decide how much you want in prizes and then sell tickets. The raffle is drawn when all the tickets are sold. so if you decided that you wanted $100 cash as your prize and you were aiming to get $100 cash in takings so you would sell 100 tickets at $2. It saves messing around trying to find prizes and I have been told that the tickets sell better than a standard raffle

Thanks Angiebabe. I hadn't thought of asking Ohbaby as really have no idea what I'm doing, but figured the best way to learn was to ask .
