This afternoon while I was on the computer (putting together the question time post) I heard Josh in his cot coughing, I didn't think all that much of it as he has had a little cough for the past few days. Then I heard a cough then a reech, then another and another. I then had to go in and see what was going on. I went into his room and stuck my head just over the cot to see if he was awake and he was so I quickly went out again. I then noticed that his room stunk  and that he had coughed and reeched again. This time I went in and found him covered in vomit (which was orange as he had pumpkin and sweetcorn for lunch). I just grabbed him out of his cot and put him straight onto a towel on the floor and took his clothes off (which were covered in vomit from head to toe) and DH ran a bath. He started coughing again and I put him on his side (incase anymore came out - which did). Josh had a bath and we noticed he was very pale and his eyes were sunken in. I got him out and no sooner had I dried him, he vomited again this time it was bright green. DH told me dress him and then we were taking him straight to the hospital. Andrew was with MIL so DH rang her to tell her what we were doing.

We get to the hospital and we were seen quite quickly and the dr was nice and had a look at him and after I told him he had an ear infection was a little concerned as he was taking antibiotics. He told us he wanted to try and get fluid into him (as he wasn't interested in feeding from me) so had to get a bottle of pedialyte from the children's ward. We managed to get 100mls into him and he didn't bring it back up. So we were told if he starts with the diarehea then its a gastro bug if not then quite possibly he is allergic to the antibiotics. So we have to wait it out when we give him the next lot of antibiotics tomorrow.

Big hugs Becks and Joshua! I have my fingers crossed it was just a freak tummy bug and that there'll be no reaction to the antibiotics today.

He's a little better but still not his usual self, I had him in bed with me this morning for a feed and after he had fed he was just laying there so still (so not like him at all). I haven't given him any of the antibiotics yet (will do at lunchtime) but i'm still too scared to give them to him but I know I need to for his ears (which he pulled at again this morning). but he didn't drink as much as usual this morning (I can feel it in my boobs) so i'm going to try and get some more pedialyte into him.

Well he seems to be a little better. The lunchtime antibiotics went down and a little bit came back up, but his dinner ones went down and haven't come up yet. So fingers crossed he is fine but even still if we have to have antibiotics again i'm going to opt for a non penicilin one.
