lol babytyme - shopping cos you're bored, that's funny!!

I'm sorry but I don't have any suggestions for you. I don't get bored these days too many things to do & when I'm tired - I rest which means do nothing but sit on the couch & go on the net, or quietly read to Gia etc. Always something to do when you have kiddies. You'll know all about that soon enough hun!

So really, enjoy it while you can.

I am still working from my home office and I am having the baby tomorrow, so I have no idea what boredom feels like, lol!
I think it's a great opportunity to catch up on those things around the house that normally get neglected. Like sorting through your wardrobe and getting rid of anything you don't need. Sort your pantry. Clean windows and skirtings. Cook some 'heat n eat' meals for the freezer to have once baby is born. Sorry - all housework suggestions I'm afraid!

Go to the library and get some good books to read. Something you probably wont have time to do when bubs arrives.

Watch all the grown up / girlie DVDs you have always wanted to see. As you will probably watch nothing but Spongebob and HI-5 dvds for the next 5 years.

Sort your pantry/freezer so your set for dinners for first few weeks.

Yeah, I would get some books and read and take it easy...believe me when I say that you should enjoy this time while you have it, because you'll never be bored again once your little girl arrives...I found that out pretty quickly!

Hehehe babytyme...I was the same as you for the first week as well. Now I have noidea what I do to kill time but I seem to waste it quite nicely. I avoid shopping though as I just feel guilty shopping for boredom.

I spent a lot of the first week making sure all our bills were set up with APs etc so we wouldnt miss any when baby arrives and we are preoccupied. I caught up witha few friends who are also on maternity leave. I met some of the ohbaby mums....set up a meeting, there is always some who are free for coffee and a lot are young like you.

REad books, get out DVDs, bake, lie in

U could try painting on some cheap canvas squares, something for the baby's room! Or make a mobile... I got some ribbon, some old wooden coathangers and some old soft toys and made one, it came out really cool! Or u could get some scrapbooking stuff and start working on a scrapbook for bubs, u could put scan photos, congratulations cards etc into it!

I like crafty stuff, it's fun, not demanding and makes u feel like u are achieving something!

If all else fails....ask lots of questions on ohbaby    I am following your lead there...but for me its not to stop boredom...it is simply avoiding doing what I should be doing

lol.. i like it, iv got people to talk too. And im sick of cleaning because everyone messes it up!
I mean how hard is it to put something back after you use it..
Yeah i asked a question in the nappy thread too.. lol.
DF's grandma is bringing us over some fuzzis and when i asked her bout them she was like "what are nappies"
i was like what???!!! But they call them diapers...
Useless bit of info but its another minute passed :)

When I was preg with Jack I walked round and round the mall, I got to go shopping and it helped get baby out.

Make all these plans like maybe getting your hair done or meet up with people so you have stuff to look forward to and if you are too busy having a baby it won't matter.

Oh gosh, if I was pregnant again I would do so many things that I never have enough time for! I'm so JEALOUS!!

Learn to knit... or start sewing... or start blogging
