Okay so first midwife appointment today and my bp was 150/100, so off to doctors for meds.
I had high bp with my first, but they did nothing till i was 32 wks and the midwife said that was probably why RHiannon was so small.
so my question is has anyone else had high bp throughout their pregnancy and where they okay

I didn't have high BP until the end of the second trimester, and they just kept a close eye on it (more mw appointments) and checked my protien etc. closely because of the pre-eclampsia risk.
Right throughout I felt fine, had no other pre-eclampsia symptoms and DD was completely fine. They ended up admitting me to hospital at 37 weeks and induced at 38 because bp was peaking too high, but even with that DD was completely fine, no distress or growth problems (she was born over 7lb).
Wishing you all the best for yours, I hope your bp comes down and your pregnancy is non-eventful!

we thought rhiannon was little due to my weight loss surgery as well, so will be interesting to see what happens this time.
midwife wants me on meds, cos i dont get any symptoms tht my bp is high, and apparently that could be dangerous

I had high BP from about 28 weeks onwards and was always thoroughly monitored for pre-eclampsia. I always felt fine although sometimes during the middle of the day I had slight nausea. I had my c-section two days off 40 weeks because of breech presentation and my BP dropped right down straight after surgery. Sam was 9lb 1oz, so no problem with size there.
The only annoying part was all the bloods I had to have done, and that was almost every week from week 33 onwards.
Hope your BP goes down for you.

Yes I did with my first two, with Conor I ended up being induced - and they just closely monitered me leading up to it.
With Nyah my BP didn't shoot up till my 3rd Trimester and I had to finish up work early.
So far so good with this one.

I had above average BP with Josh. I wasn't medicated till 36 weeks but I didn't take the meds (they made me sick and noone listened to me) thou and was induced a few weeks later. Youmay go labetlol(sp?) thats what they tried to get me to take.

Hi Kazzle mine was over 140 from her first reading at 6 weeks last time but I was never medicated. My mw told me a lot of it was probably due to stress ( my job sucked at the time), so try and take it easy, it will be interesting to see what my reading are this time, now I only have a whining 14mth old to deal with

Well the doctor put me on the highest dosage possible, and within 20mins i had such a bad reaction (dropped my bp so much) that i had to call a friend to come watch rhiannon, and Kent needed to come home from work.
It took almost 10hrs to stop feeling sick, shakey, dizzy and wanting to pass out. (this was thursday last week).
On friday doc gave me same tablets but lowest dose, took it on sunday and spent 2 hours with the shakes and feeling slightly yucky, have taken it this morning, and i have a slight tremor in my hands and feeling slightly yuck, so hopefully body is getting use to the tablets.
getting bp checked on friday so fingers crossed
