Have discovered this is what I have - bulge down middle of tummy when I tighten abs. Is this important/scary? Or normal?

Perfectly normal. It's your rectus muscle which often splits in pregnancy (especially if your abdominal muscles weren't nice and toned beforehand).

People can test for it by putting their hand in the middle below their navel and leaning forward slightly, feels like marshmallow.

And no it doesn't get back together either Not to worry, keep it as a pregnancy reminder

Bel my personal trainer (well when I was seeing him, I quit not long after the wedding) told me about this. He said that it should only be two finger widths apart apparently? I can't remember what he told me about it other than that sorry, but I think he said that you must be careful if you get it? Correct me if I am wrong anyone??

Great lot of help aren't I - NOT!
