I think you should give your mw a call just so she knows what's going on. I don't think you should ever get swollen to the point of numbing. Put your feet up, slightly higher than your waist, as that should relieve the swelling (that's pretty common). Have you been on your feet a lot over the weekend? I see you're still working, are you working full-time? You may have to revisit that depending on how much you're getting swelling, how often etc, maybe cut your hours.

LOL nesting!!! Well take things easy today okay? And even though you're sitting, you need to spend some time at home with your legs up. Pop in to the library on the way home if you need something to do when you're sitting down

BT, the two might not be connected. The swelling probably comes from sitting down all day.....blood and fluid just drains down to your ankles.
The numbness could be coz bubs is squashing a nerve. Apparently they can do that. A friend of mine had a large patch on her thigh go completely numb and she was told it was a normal 3rd trimester thing.
Check with your MW and for gods sake girl...REST!!!!

Numbness and tingling can be caused by swelling, for example a lot of pregnant women get tingly little fingers due to swelling around the ulnar nerve in their forearms.
I guess the best thing would be to elevate your legs and see if that helps, and of course tell your midwife. I find that the soles of my feet get all tingly if I lean forward when sitting too much.
