I think ours is a Jolly Jumper brand, it has adjustable level - which is pretty much the only feature I looked for. And in fact my mum orignally paid for it cause she was at a farmers card night and it was heavily reduced, so she grabed it for me.
With the benefit of hindsight though - I would have checked out the lowering mechanism on the side of the cot - as it is a bit sticky, maybe because its plastic, maybe because its new. - Just something to have a look at. ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

I wanted one that was either 3in1 or 4in1 which are the ones that are bassinette level, cot level, first bed and then couch, so that we could get good use out if it.
The cheaper ones are absolutely fine, as long as they are Australian/New Zealand safety standard and you can always paint them and decorate them to look how you want them to. I got my one from the baby factory, my dad offered to pay and I ended up getting one of the more expensive ones, not because it was the most expensive but because I liked it. It was kinda modern looking and had frosted panels on each end rather than wooden slats/bars. I also made sure that the side that lifts up and down was easy to use. Other than that, I guess you just go for the one that appeals to you the most. |

We have a touchwood for Sam with solid ends, and we love it. It is the 4 in one, so it does bassinet, cot, first bed and sofa. It also has two safety latches, one on either end of the side that moves up and down. Not the cheapest, but nice to know we will be using it for the next few years with her. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

| Ours is a cheapo one from baby factory. Not the cheapest but one of the cheapest. It's a 3 in 1, easy to use the drop down side etc and doesn't feel like it's cheap and might fall to bits. |

We got ours off TM second hand - was $150. All I wanted was one with a few levels and easy to get the side up and down. We have recently taken the side of Hannahs so its a little bed and have found it great! ------------- Aimee Hannah 22/10/05 Greer 11/02/08 |

I got mine off TM second hand but there's only one small scratch on it and it is in its original box. I think it's a 3 in 1 from memory but could be a 4 in one (heehee you can tell I haven't put it up yet).
It was $390 on a buy now but new they are $800 so was a pretty decent deal. Also came with an almost new innersprung mattress which I was going to get a cover for but have just found that the covers don't go up to the size of the mattress..... 
Anyway totally recommend keeping an eye on TM - they have some good bargins. -------------
