Lately I seem to be throwing up or gagging on certain smells, like my DH's man smell, I can smell onions on him, I feel bad when I heave and then go and throw up, it isn't his fault, mine at the moment Another thing is when my darling daughter does number 2's, that sets me right off! Anyone else feel like this?

I am very sensitive to smells in my pregnancy... infact in contributes most to my morning sickness. I can no longer step foot in our kitchen as their is too many smells around (even if its clean). I have trouble walking past bathrooms and toilets. And certain foods set me off.
You are not alone.

I am the same even so far on in my pregnancy, certain things seem to trigger me feeling ill, and I am super sensitive to smells. Things like coffee were bad when I had morning sickness but are okay now.

Any smell of cigarette smoke makes me want to throw up. And is also a good excuse not to visit the in-laws

Perfume still makes me gag even at 24 weeks! I can't even wear the stuff, it just makes me feel dreadful!
In the first 12 weeks it was the smell and taste of steak!!

I can't stand the smell of asian food anymore, which is unfortunate as Thai food use to be a big love of mine!! My BIL came over last night. He had eaten onions and the smell made me really nausious. DH didn't think it was that bad, so must have been my sensitive nose!

I am so glad I read this thread as I have been feeling quite nauseous for the past 3 or 4 days and was starting to worry that it wasn't normal"... obviously I'm not the only one
Maybe I am one of the lucky few that get to have morning sickness for the 3rd trimester too!

Baked beans Can't bear to think of them, see them, let alone smell them. We have some in our pantry so I have to just grab what I want without looking at the can!

Where to start? I still can't use Persil Sensitive or Sunlight orange dishwasher liquid coz it triggers reminders of how nauseous I was. Couldn't wear perfume or use scented soaps/body washes. Nearly threw up all over my obstetrician coz he was a little too fond of his aftershave. And couldn't handle cigarette smoke, the smell of Willie's breath when he'd been drinking, wearing clothes that had been washed in scented washing powder...
So no, you're not too sensitive!
