Just thought I would pass on my friends experience.
She had an epidural for her delivery and felt very cold so her midwife gave her a hot pack, it was originally on her tummy, but slipped down to her thigh at some point which was numb. Next time her legs were exposed there was a nasty burn on her thigh, which 5 weeks on is still not healing and will probably need skin grafting.
My advice is keep the hotpack where you can feel it, check it is not too hot to start with and keep moving it around
She is coping with a 5 week old baby on top of this
