I just seen an ad for a pamper pack at Hanmer Springs Thermal Pools which i think would be awesome once the sickness is gone for me and DP to spend time together alone as we have had house guests the last 2 months.

Can i go in the thermal/hot pools? Im thinking i cant well not the hot pools they might be too hot but what about thermal pools?

I think you are ok in the normal pools at hanmer but stay out of the super hot ones. A friend of mine went up when preggers and she LOVED it.

There are certain 'guidelines' for how hot your baths etc should be, but I have no idea what they are. Maybe like 30 degrees or something? If it was, all of the pools would be too hot, but I've seen heaps of preggies ladies there.

Just to hijack, what would you wear if you were further along in pg? There's really no point in buying maternity swimwear (well I don't see it) but you wouldn't want to be all chunky hanging out would you? hehe

The reegular thermal pools are ok but not saunas etc... the hot water carries bacteria and all that. Your mw will have detailed guidelines.

I bought a pair of maternity togs, never worn, from TM... But before that I used two piece togs so I could get different sizes. But then, I was all tummy and no flab IYGWIM.

Regarding the heat thing, I read somewhere that as long as you can step straight into a bath, without it being too hot on your feet first, then it should be OK. Should also not make you break out in a sweat...
I guess that hot pools are the same
