I'd like some help with ideas for exercising in the last 10 weeks of pregnancy. I'd love to go swimming, but am just getting over my 3rd cold of this pregnancy, and my Dr has put me on an inhaler as I was getting short of breath. I've sprained me wrist, so pilates and yoga are out, and it's way too cold to walk by the time I get home at night. So what did/would you all do?

What about using some of the cardio equipment at a gym? e.g. bikes (you wouldn't need to use your wrists/arms) and the treadmill. Although it's probbaly not worth joining a gym now but some do offer concession passes for single visits. Perhaps you could walk on the weekends instead? Or do an exercise video at home?
Sorry, that's probably no help but I can't think of anything else

Could you hire an exercycle for the remainder of your pregnancy - would also be good for the first few weeks after. they are pretty gentle on the body and have the benefit of being able to monitor your heart rate. Also, they are at home so you dont have to go anywhere and can do it in front of the tv.

And the cross-trainer at the gym might work.

We have our own cross-trainer, and I could use that, but with getting short of breath through having this cold, I don't want to do anything too strenuous, as I don't want to have to keep puffing on my inhaler. I will use the cross trainer when the cold has gone, but I guess until then, I'll just have to take it easy. Thanks for your suggestions so far! :)

What about swimming? I loved going for a light swim it was great to take the weight off and it was light exercise without getting heart rate up high but I'm not sure how that would be on your wrist

I can't really go swimming due to my cold, and think I'll probably end up with another one if I go swimming when this cold has gone. This is my 3rd cold this pregnancy. I'd love to be able to go swimming, but yeah, could give me more problems with my wrist too!

A swiss ball is great low impact exercise. You can get them cheap off Trademe and use them at home. Pretty simple exercise, you can sit on it while on Oh Baby!!
