Has anyone else had this. The last two nights I have been really really hot with a really flushed face and sweating. It doesn't matter what I do I cannot cool down, I even went and stood outside last night, but all it did was make me shiver but not cool down internally.

I know its not good to get hot during pregnancy, but it is my body doing it. Its not like I am sitting with heaps of clothes on in a super hot house or anything, our house with its wooden floorboards is quite cool.

In saying this though, over the last few weeks I have really been feeling the cold badly, so I wonder if it is my body trying to sort out my temperature control because I am pregnant? I really don't know, I have my m/w tomorrow so will talk to her about it too.

I know pregnancy can heat you up, but seriously this much??!!

I find that I fluctuate over being hot and cold. Let me us know what your midwife says about it, I'm curious.

I was always hot when preggers. DH would be sitting in the living room with blankets etc and I would be sitting there in a singlet top! In bed I'd just have the sheet over me and the window still open and DH would have the duvet plus an extra wool blanket.

I never got cold though..

hey peachy, I was getting really cold over last month or so, but now that it is actually colder, I am not feeling it. not feeling really hot, but walking around in t-shirt and no jumper...

Asking m/w sounds like a good idea

Have you tried having a cold drink to bring down your temperature?

I'd be really interested to know what the midwife says

Well my worrying got the better of me and I rang the m/w. She said that it could be hormonal and that if I feel fine and if its not a temperature due to infection somewhere, it most definately will be my hormones and the hot water bottle baby in my belly will only add to the heat.

I am just so anxious about everything at the moment.   We went and visited my SIL's 3 day old baby last night and I have been really anxious ever since. She is so beautiful, perfect and so so tiny and its just made me really anxious that I hope everything is o.k with our baby (even though our scan last Thursday showed everything was absolutely fine). Probably doesn't help that I have a uni exam tomorrow, so that is adding to my anxiety. O.k now I am wayyyyyy off topic.......maybe if I add stress into the mix, I could probably answer my own damn question!

I am such a worrier, I just feel like crying today

peachy do you have a digi thermometer? if not, get one from the chemist (about $20) and use it to check your temp. My one records the last temp so you can compare it. Might give you peace of mind to be able to check it regulary?
