Thank you sooo much for your love and support everyone! It's incredible

I'm ok. I mean, honestly! What were the odds? You just have to have a sense of humour ...and a bit of room on your VISA for some retail therapy!!

Ooooo, and this just capped off a weird few days... At the party during the weekend, one of my SIL's friends sought me out ...she has been TTC for a year and having a hard time coping with long term TTC, adn she knew I was going through it as well (that blog has a far reach it seems! I had a friend email the other day from CHICAGO to say that he'd "come across this blog ...." hehe). I spent a couple of hours talking to her, telling her about us, and ways that I cope, trying to help, and just let her know that she can always talk to me if she needs to. The usual Ginger infertility-support bollocks.

And then I got a phone call last night ...

She's pregnant too!

AAARRRGGGHHHH!!!

What's a Ginger to do?

She laughs her head off, and makes it into a funny story for everyone else

My time will come, I know it will. It's just taking longer than most other peoples. But I tell you what, when I get that baby? It's going to be the most winderful thing in the world.

Plus, I told the BIL and SIL that they could always give us one of the twins ...

Oh Ginger - good on you for seeing the ironic/funny side! I'm glad you haven't lost your sense of humour, big ups to you for continuing to see the funny side of it.

And... I just read your blog, so....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!

Absolutely!

The daughter of one of the guys I work with has her birthday today as well - the guy was very impressed that he gets cake at work (if it's your birthday, you bring cake) and cake at home as well!!

Twins? Who'd have twins? Bad, bad, bad - us human type creatures are only made to have one at a time

Big hugs tho Ginger - how you maintain a straight face in some of these situations I have no idea.

And yes, you're right, you will have your turn, and when you do you'll have the best behaved, most placid baby - you deserve it after all the crap you've been thru before the kid is even conceived!

Chocolate and shopping, my dear, chocolate and shopping!

As for getting well behaved, placid children ...I'm going to have to move in with the milkman or something, because if my kids share Al's genetics, we're going to have problems with both the well behaved bit, AND the placid bit of that wee prediction!

Love the laughs Ginger... and when they have the twins you can make loud suggestions about how much you value your sleep ins and manicures, pedicures, facials and shopping time.

Keep your chin up, Ginger. We may realise that your smile is sometimes only on the surface but we don't care! Now to be the coolest aunty in the world and buy all the wonderful toys that they can then hand down to their cousin so you don't need to buy the same toys again!

Hey ginger - happy birthday from me too!

I love your blogs and posts - they quite often give me a little chuckle. What a knack you have saying really crap situations in a great sense!

I ditto the toy hand-me-down thing! Two birds with one stone

You know how some people put little marks underneath estate items so everyone knows who they go to? I think you should do that, and when it's time, 'reclaim' everything for your bubs. At least then, after you've maxed out the VISA (hehe retail therapy), you won't have to worry about buying anything. Hmmm, a good thought me thinks.

Hey! I don't need fizzy drink and noisy toys (besides, her grandmother seems to have taken care of that. I spent half the birthday party hiding toys because my poor ears were ready to fall off!). I am the wickedest aunty in the history of the world ...

(nauseating brage coming right up)

My SIL was trying to get my niece to open her bday presents at the weekend (she's 1, it wan't going to happen!), and she wasn't interested at all. I was sitting on a chair on the other side of the room watching the proceedings, and the next thing, she totters over to me, gets her little chair, moves it to my feet, climbs up, adn holds her arms out to aunty for a cuddle and then sits there and opens a present on my knee! Heart-melting stuff

I don't know that SIL was very impressed though ...

Awww Emile, I know she wouldn't have said that if she knew. It's a tough situation to be in, I've been through it with my sister (the other way around, she's infertile? and our parents were the hinters). I feel for you... minutely as it is though!

How are you getting on with the injections?
