What do people think about getting the flu jab while TTCing? I know you are supposed to steer clear of the jab in the first trimester, but is safe to have from the second trimester onwards. Anyone have any thoughts?

someone else asked this on another msg board...and after doing some research they came back with "its not recommended to get a flu jab if you are ttc"

your best option is to talk to your doctor

Thanks Kazzle, yeah I think it's probably safer to stay clear altogether.

We were told at work (get free ones yay!) to try not to get pg in the month after the jab and you shouldnt have it if you are already pg. Although in saying that they dont know if it would do anything to the baby, as its never been tested like that.

I didn't realise I was pregnant and got the flu jab in the first trimester and nothing happened to Zac...of-course if I'd known I was pregnant I would not of had it done.

I had my flu-jab the other day after the doctor reassured me that it was ok to have while TTC.

It sure can be fustrating sometimes when TTC - so much conflicting info out there.
