Hi Lucylooloo,

Firstly very sorry to hear about your miscarriage. *Hugs* to you.

I had a m/c in early Feb and got my next period 5 or 6 weeks later. It lasted 7 days (usually they last 5 days) and it was very very light for the first few days before getting a little heavier. I haven’t had another period since but I am expecting one in the next couple of weeks (inless I am pg again). I started a post back then about life after m/c and I know some of the lovely ladies on here posted about their experiences after m/c. From memory, I think having no periods for a few months afterwards is normal as is getting extremely heavy and painful periods. But the general consensus seems to be that for a while after a m/c things can be irregular and irratic.

Perhaps speak to your dr if things don’t get back to “normal” soon??

Best of luck.

Hi Lucy, cycles and bleeding can be very erratic after m/c. Talk with your doctor (or whoever told you it was m/c) if you're still worried but it does sound within the realms of "normal". I had my m/c last February (2006), it's hard going especially after you've had kids and don't expect it will happen (well I guess no one really expects a m/c though). Big hugs! And hope you can get on the TTC road soon enough again.

Hi Lucy. Sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I hope you are doing ok - it's a hard time to be going through.

After my miscarriage last year I went back on the pill for a month, which seemed to get my cycles back to normal again. I went on the pill as at the time I fully believed that I never wanted to be pregnant again! Once I got my AF a month later, I had healed a bit and realised I was being irrational.

It is very normal to have irregular bleeding, but hopefully this month is a sign that things are returning to normal for you.

Have you thought about temping? It's a great way to really visualise and get to know your cycle and may be able to answer some questions. I have found it really helpful.

Good luck with TTC again. Hugs!
