This weeks theme songs are "Get out of their faces" (when she puts her face about 5cm from the gremlins noses), "Don't touch them!" (when she's "helping" them jump in their Jolly Jumpers) and lets not even go there with "Go to bed" and "Clean up your mess"...

Am I the only one who seems to say the same thing over and over and over (and then over) again? I swear I am saying "don't sit on your sisters" in my sleep!

Girls stop fighting, I said stop fighting, stop fighting, WOULD YOU STOP FIGHTING *screams so the street can hear*

"Mercedes hes too young to eat, get that toast away from his mouth, dont give him that noodle", (today, mum) "Why has Alize got chocolate around his mouth???" (mercedes) "Cos he wanted some nutella" (mum)"How many times have I explained to you he is too young to eat" (mercedes) "but he was hungry I heard his tummy rumble"

Dont even get me started with having a tweenager!!!! They seem to lose their hearing at a pretty young age these days lol

"get into bed", "bed", "I SAID GET INTO BED"
5 and 9 year old
"Watch out for your sister", "careful", "WATCH YOUR SISTER"
5 and 9 year old
"hop down", "get down please", "Down now", "GET DOWN"
The climbing 2 year old

Ahhhh I could be here all day the list goes on!!!!

Yes but what I want to know is if the rest of the street can hear (and believe me my neighbours think I am the worst mother in the world ) then why is it that our little darlings can't hear us....?

oh hahahahahaha! this is so funny hearing what other mums have to repeat! lol
I have so many things but the most common are "1!..2!...3! dont push your luck boy!! muma is NOT in the mood!!!"    and    "LEAVE! Sabel (the kitten) alone! she does not need you dragging her around by her tail!"   and     "SON!! pick up your toys now before i turn the tv off!"   and     "dont say that!! thats an adult word!!!"   and a more common one lately "BOY, MOUTH" and he knows exactly what that means! (shut your mouth when your eating).
Oh i could go on forever!! lol

this thread is making me laugh!!!! Can picture you all!!!

just to add one thing...and this may sound weird...but one of the fundamentals of *dog* training (yes told you it was weird) is to use the dogs name first!!! and then discipline or tell them what you want them to do...seriously read back and see how many people talk talk talk at the kids and THEN use their names out of frustration...

use the name first and get their attention and see if it helps....Ive used this method on dogs and kids and it does work....not sure if it will work on little miss cotnrary once she is here tho!!!

Jack just hits with weapons tho.

Today I had really bad stretching pains so I was lying on the couch and Jack came from behind and hit me on the head with this plastic thing it gave me such a fright so much I screamed "JACK NO HITTING WE DONT HIT" poor Jack was terrified and started crying the scared cry so I had to pick him up and say sorry.

Ayja bites, very nastily, paris has had so many times where ayja has bitten and drawn blood - because she still only has the two teeth down the bottom she gets a good pinch of skin between the top and bottom layers and she clenches down.

With paris used to be asked once, MAYBE twice. Ayja well - she does the same as harmony does, but keeps doing it.

Usually after biting someone she stops though because she does it so hard she gets a bit of a fright when we show her what she did cos it's usually swollen blue or bleeding (nasty child..)and it freaks her out but other than that, its a battle of wills. she is so strong minded that if we are running late or try to rush her into doing something she doesn't want to without a full explanation of why and the benefits to her.. it just doesn't happen.

No matter how many "strategies" we use on her, she is one stubborn little cookie - for a child with pixie ears that stick out a little - she sure doesn't listen very well. - depending on the approach we take she either screams and yells and tantrums, or laughs and continues to do it.. runs away laughing then usually trips and hurts herself.

Janine yesterday I sent Hannah to her bedroom for some space and in a distracted moment with Krystiana, Briona followed her down What a mission to get Bria to come up the stairs again to - get this - play with the toys!!!!

I usually find choice of two works best with her so I offered her the choice of playing in the lounge or going to her own bedroom... so she marched off with her doll to bed! And so explains happy-shock LOL so I went upstairs for 10 minutes' space of my own (well deserved, I assure you)

yep we try to offer two choices too pretty much most of the time. but ayja.. doesn't usually pick either of them
