Sorry if this going to be tmi...

I have been buying nappies and looking at buying baby wipes etc. However, as I have very sensitive skin and think the baby might have too, I decided to buy small packs and try them first. Well, so far I have tried the precious, johnsons and huggies (unsented) ones and all make my skin very very itchy!

I wonder if anyone has had a problem before? What brand do you use esp if your baby has sensitive skin?

Well, I can't say for certain that Erin has super sensitive skin or anything, but I use http://www.cheekywipes.co.nz - Cheeky Wipes - not only do they not have any added chemicals or scents etc, but you don't have to keep buying more when you run out !

Both my girls have had small amounts of eczema (its in my family) and nither have had any reaction to them but on the occasion when we have had very bad nappy rash/thrush I just use soft cloths (face cloths) or a flanelette sheet that I cut up for when the girls were 1st born while there skin is so new

we use water and face cloths at home, but when we go out we use Johnsons sensitive. I have very sensitive skin too and so does Caitlin, she can't use any of the huggies bath products etc

I can't help with the sensitive side of things but what about trying all the brands - Treasures, Pams and Loving Touch to get an idea for you. Then when baby comes you will have all the brands to try. We started with wash cloths to begin with, with very pooey bums.

We use Cheeky Wipes as well. I love them! No reactions from chemicals etc in one use wipes and the one off payment of $35 is a darn site cheaper than having to keep on buying more!!

When you go out you can just pop a couple of damp wipes in a wet bag....easy as!

The gremlins have shocking exczema and can't tolerate any of the Johnsons or Huggies bath stuff, but seem to be fine with the new(ish) Huggies Extra Sensitive in the light blue packet. I do cloth nappies, but to be quite honest I can't really be bothered with cloth wipes - just lazy!

We do cloth wipes here too... I bought some flanelette and cut it into squares and then just used the overlocker round the edges. Was very easy!

http://www.tweedles.co.nz - Tweedles
and DandelioNZ wipes are available from http://www.greenbeans.co.nz - Greenbeans or try trademe for other cloth wipe makers. (If you aren't craft inclined )

Hannah gets rashy when we use any type of wipe. So at home we just use flannels. But I looove all the cloth wipes! They are so cute!

P.S. I have a packet of J&J wipes given to us by the neighbours and I use to take off my make up - OUCH!!! They sting like a mo' fo'! There is no bloody way I'd use them on Han's bum!!!

Anna - do you have an overlocker??? Dare you to buy a Greenbeans DIY kit and make your own nappies! Did you see Aimee's sherpa one? It looked so cute and relatively easy to make!!!

Thanks ladies!
I think I'll give the Cheeky Wipes a go.
The other thing I'm planning on using is the Mustela brand - it's sold in pharmacies and is hypo-alergenic so seems quite good. Anyone on here tried it? I don't think they have wipes but they have lotion that you put on cotton/cloth and use to wipe the bub's bum (no washing required - seems to work like a make-up remover)

Funny you should say that because I used some of Maddie's left ove J&J bath stuff and broke out into a rash!! I'm really glad we switched to ecostore!

The Dandelionz wipes are gorgeous! Mmmmm sherpa!

Debbie on TM is also doing the most gorgeous wipes as well now. debsmith is her user name.
