Hi ladies
My name is Collette and I am expecting my first little one early next year and I am nervous as hell. We have chosen not to know the sex of the baby.
I am from Auckland and wanted to find out more about what to expect - I do know that everybody's experience of pregnancy, giving birth and being a parent are all different but there are so many terrifying programmes one can watch and I thought maybe it would be better to find out from a variety of women rather than watch the scary stuff!
My DH has a DS and DD from a previous marriage and is trying to be as helpful and understanding as possible, but he can only do so much!
Thanks!

I loved reading the birth stories on http://birthwithoutfearblog.com/ - even the births that 'didn't go to plan' are still written about so positively, it really helped me become comfortable with the idea of giving birth.
Other than that, antenatal classes were amazing, and talking to friends/family who had been through pregnancy/birth/babies/toddlers in recent times was super helpful.
Also - join the Due In forum on here for the month you're due in!
You'll be a fabulous mum, best wishes for your journey through motherhood
