Hey everyone, I have been charting and i see that i ovulated just 8 days before i started getting my period? whats that all about? I got EWCM and a positive LH surge on the 17th April, then started spotting and got my period on the 25th, To be fair this is my first period post birth, and i suppose i was just lucky to notice the signs and check for LH surge at the right time, but shouldn't my period have been 10 days + after Ovulation? ------------- Ready to try for our Winter Wildling to join Louie and Scarlett our Autumn and Summer Babies http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

Hey, yes, you're right and normally you'd expect to get your period 10-16 days after ovulation (whatever is normal for your body). As you've said though, this is your first period post-partum, so it's likely your body didn't quite do everything normally this time around with your hormones, but will do much better next cycle now that the system is coming back online again! ------------- Me: 35, PCOS, endo, DH: 34, severe MFI 6+ yrs TTC#2 M/C 2012, clomid 2013, IVM 2014, IVF 2015, M/C 2015 2016 FET#1- BFP - MMC - Emergency D&C FET#2 - BFN Jul 16 - stage 3 endo removed. My first period PP the LP was only 8 days as well  The next couple of cycles after that the LP was 12 days. My normal is 14 days.
