Hi all, am new to this =)
I am 10 weeks pregnant with number three, and am curious to know if anyone has had an experience similar to me (or know of anyone).
I have two beautiful sons with my fiancé, he also has a daughter from a teenage fling, so am busy playing the gender guessing game! Obv would be thrilled with a healthy baby any gender, but want to know my chances of having a baby girl! I'm not sure what Statistic's apply to our situation lol, he can obviously father a girl, but can I only have sons?!

Each pregnancy has a 50% chance either way, all things being equal, so it's really random which you'll have! Anecdotally, if you do the deed close to ov then you're a bit more likely to have a boy, and if it's a day or so before then more likely to have a girl, but it's pretty random. Most families I know with 4 kids have 3 of one type and 1 of the other, so generally the more kids you have the more likely you'll have at least one of each sex!

It is the sperm that fertilizes the egg that will determine the sex of your baby. Some sperm carry the X-chromosome and some sperm carry the Y-chromosome. If an X-chromosome-carrying sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a girl. If a Y-chromosome-carrying sperm fertilizes the egg, the baby will be a boy.

So our eggs dont play a role in which gender you get!

Thanks for the replies!!
I know eventually I will know for sure, just can't stop wondering!! Lol.
I have heard that the women's PH levels can sway gender also, I know lots of families that had boy boy girl and lots that had 3boys! I wanted to try gender sway after our wedding but got blessed with this we surprise instead =) last baby for us! We will know soon enough!
