Hi all,
As a mother one of my biggest fears is my baby forming bad habits as I experienced this with my first child with her sleeping routine. I'm a busy mother of 3, I admit I have been a lot more laid back with my third baby's routine and I have let dad take over some of my mummy duties some evenings and weekends, in particular putting to sleep. I would usually like to be in control of this but I take this opportunity to spend time focusing on the older 2.
My concern is that we have totally different ways we put our 8 month old baby to sleep and I am worried that we are going to form bad habits! I've been very strict with how he puts her to sleep. I like to put Kenzey into her cot to fall sleep on her own; which I have done since newborn-now, whereas he likes to cuddle her to sleep in our bed. It's very draining and frustrating trying to teach him my way. So hard that I've just almost given in! Am I being too over the top? Should I let him continue to do this? I feel so bad for breaking up their cute cuddle and bonding time, but like I said I just don't want her to form bad habits. He refuses to listen to me. I don't really know what to do. Is this causing harm or will baby adjust to my way and his way? To be honest at the moment she knows with me that when she goes into her cot she goes to sleep so haven't noticed any bad habits yet but I am worried they could form.
