Hi all. Am very new to this, only just signed up to oh baby today so apologies for not being sure on how to work things here. My partner and I have been TTC for nearly 6 months now, I was diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome about 5 years ago. Anyhow, I'm about 8DPO and Monday arvo went to the loo and had some slight bleeding. Bright red but only a couple of drops,then it disappeared. This morning I woke up, went to the loo and same thing, few drops of blood on the paper and now gone again. I'm not due for AF for about another week or so and have been reading up on implantation bleeding since I never get AF this early. Took a test on Monday when the first bleeding happened but got a BFN. Wondering if I should test again or if it's too early and should just wait and see if old AF shows her face or not. Thoughts and opinions would be much appreciated as it's wearing me down =(
Thanks =)

If it is implantation bleeding you won't get a positive test until 2-3days later! So I would wait a few more days (or ideally until AF is due) and see what happens

Thank you, will wait a couple more days and test and if no luck will test again closer to AF. Waiting sucks!

Good luck! As mentioned it will take a few days to register on a pregnancy test - the hcg is made by the placenta, which starts developing after implantation. For the levels to be high enough to show on a test the amount of time varies from person to person depending on how your body processes hgc into the urine, but 3-4ish days is generally around the earliest.
And yes, waiting def sucks!

Thanks mushroom. I usually wait until 2-3 days out from AF before I test but this bleeding has got me all messed up. Naturally hoping it is IB because 6 months of Negative tests is getting rather depressing! But then the negative test the other day sort of dashed my hopes AGAIN, even though I know I need to just relax and wait a few more days. Ugh sorry for the vent, as you ladies probably know venting to the hubby just doesn't cut it sometimes. Thanks for your help, will keep you posted

Another BFN this morning, still getting slight cramps on and off and a little bit of browny/pink CM this morning, so confusing! So booked an appointment with the GP on Wednesday and hopefully have some bloods done to see what's up. I'm excited because I'm so hoping that it's IB I've been experiencing but totally freaking out at the same time because it could be a big fat nothing and just PM spotting. Bring on Wednesday I guess!
