So on Tuesday CD12 I had a darker line, but not as dark as the control panel, so thought that wasn't quite a positive.

But on Wednesday the line was only quite faint ... was Tuesday my postive OPK?

I thought the line had to be as dark or darker than the control line? Have I missed the boat this month?

The line has to be as dark or darker than the control line. From what other people have said previously and what I have read on the packets etc you can't read anything into how negative the reading is.... as in all lines less dark than the control line are negative and that is all you can know from them.

This is because they measure a hormone that we all have in our urine and it fluctuates daily during the cycle. I have had the same thing as you where it's negative, the next day even lighter, but then a week later a bit darker again but still negative...... ANNOYING. Just have to keep testing until you get a positive..... or you might have missed it :D

If it makes you feel any better - I've never had a positive OPK (always lighter) and I'm pregnant with #2. Apparently some people's hormone surge is fast so you don't see the line go darker. Doesn't mean you don't OV (that always worried me!). In the end I went by other signs of OV.
So tiger lily there was probably a positive between tues and wed - you just didn't see it.
Good luck
