Hey everyone,

I'm new on here but planning on ttc soon. I had my mirena removed just over 1 month ago after having had it in for 3 1/2 years but still no AF yet. Just wondering if anyone else has had a mirena removed and how long did it take for AF to return?

Thanks

Mine returned two days later, but I have heard it can take a while for some people

Thanks, yeah I had no AF while the Mirena was in and I was never "regular" before this so I'm guessing it might take a while to get back into the swing of things.

Have you been tested for PCOS? It can affect cycles and make them longer

I can't remember to be honest, I've been in and out of specialist care since I was 12. My cycles weren't long as such just irregular, I would bleed for 2 weeks then have a week break then again for a week then maybe a months break. Just no rhyme or reason to it. . . maybe something worth looking into again?!?! On top of that I had a second positive ANA blood test, so I'm kind of keen for my AF to return so we can start trying as it could take us a while TTC
