Hi all,
I've just been diagnosed with high levels of thyroid antibodies and am about to undergo a detox and course of naturopathic meds to try and get them under control before trying again for a baby.
The full story is on 'Troublesome trying' thread under 'Planning Pregnancy' forum.
I have read research saying that with these antibodies you can be up to 4x more likely to MC. Has anyone else had this diagnosis? Has anyone else had the diagnosis and gone on to carry successfully? Any information gladly accepted!
Also, if you are having MC's and have potentially hyper or hypo thyroidism, even if the tests only say it's currently low or high but could be an issue...then consider asking your GP to have your antibodies checked. It's an easy test but not commonly administered apparently. Worth a go for unexplained MC's I reckon.

Hi pepi I just read your full post and wanted to let u know that I went through Motherwell and they are fantastic I do wonder if I would have my little man without them.
I hope everything goes well for you next time round and you have a wee miracle before you know it.

Thanks for writing didi :-)
So did you have three miscarriages before you went to motherwell? I have high hopes that this time we are onto the right thing and this time we'll get a take-home baby!

Totally agree, I was put on potassium by my naturopath for my last two pregnancies after suffering miscarriages & we have a history of thyroid issues in our family.
Cross fingers it works for you. I didn't specifically have the diagnosis but worked for me.
