Im totally in love with my Angelcare monitor and it has worked perfect in our cariboo bassinet and now our daughters cot. But with Number 2 on the way DD will be moving to a big girl bed, and im wondering if anyone has used these movement monitors in a single bed? I havent used one in a big bed but have a friend who still uses it with her 5 year old in a normal single bed. She just increased the sensitivity level on the monitor to compensate for the thicker mattress. Bed mattresses arent a whole lot thicker than cot ones anyway. we have when we put her in a single bed on holiday, it worked fine :-) Just change the sensitivity to suit. We are about to put our 20mo into a big girls bed, and want to use the a/c until she is over 2 ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Is it because she is/was sick?
Just wondering why you would need to keep using it when your child is past the riskiest age of sids, and then, when you would wean yourself off it? I lost a little person very close to me, he was 20 months and big bouncy and bonny. You would never thought he would stop breathing, but because of his age it is considered sudden death of a young person, not sudden infant death. Noboby knows why he died, so it's now my one, wee irrational fear I allow myself :) I cAn cope without it during the day, but can't sleep with out the angelcare at night :)
Currently DD can get out of her cot because it has no side, but hates the beeps so in 3 weeks we have had only 2 attempts to escape. :) we hear the alarm and go in to her climbing back in to the cot saying no beepbeep. It's pretty cute :) ------------- http://lilypie.com">
