Hi ya,
I tested positive at 5dpo, 6dpo and 7dpo on a MDS Quickstream tests (3pk). The first day a very strong positive came up but then faded within minutes. The second day a faint line showed but stuck around for a little longer before fading out and the third day was the same. Has anyone had a similar experience with the MDS quickstream tests. I tried to ring the 0800 number for clarification but they are no longer in business, which concerns me a little. I have a discovery now which I can take in a few days time but I am going out of mind waiting. Any advice or similar experiences would be appreciated.

A positive result won't fade.

I'm not even sure there is enough HCG present in the urine for you to get a positive pregnancy test that early, but I might be wrong...

Hi Nyssa,
I'm with Jaune I don't think you will have produced enough, if any HCG that close to ovulation. My understanding was once the egg is fertilized it takes between 5-10 days to travel to the uterus to implant and once that has been acheived then you will produce the HCG.
I believe Discover tests are the only tests available in NZ you can use prior to when AF due. I used them and got a positive on 10dpo.
I'm not sure if the tests you have may be faulty I am unsure, but I don't think they will give you an accurate result right now.
It's so hard to wait, but it's best to, to get an accurate result.
All the best
