Any Husbands out there with their own prospective as to how you made your decision with your spouse, with family planning .
EG: Reaching agreements with your spouse? Your ideas experiences and views, would be inspiring to hear as well. |

My partner has one son from his previous marriage that we are raising together (he is in our full time care) and before i met him he was considering getting the snip. When he met me we decided fairly quickly to start trying together but I let him know that I only want one child and he agreed and said he will get the snip after our child is born.
I didnt have to cajole him into it, he made the choice on his own but said he would have been happy with two children from me if that is what i had wanted (which its not) which is great.. DH decided to get the snip, simply because he doesn't want anymore. I would happily have another, so its his responsibility.

Husband and i both came to mutual agreement about family size after ds2 (not the easiest baby in the world). We both just really felt that we could not do another baby like DS2 and wanted to do the best for the boys we had, rather than stretch ourselves.
We have never talked about the snip, i would not want to encourage him to do this as it is really his decision. Would support him either way, but would not want to feel pressure from him to tie my tubes so won't impose that on him. Condoms (and 1 morning after pill!!) are working well. He knows i do not want to chemically alter my cycles and there is no reason to do this, i have easy periods and regular cycles. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

We decided on 2 or 3, and ended up at 2 and staying there. As for contraception I have recently had a hystorectomy (for medical reasons) so there is no need for him to have the snip. ------------- I was a puree feeder, forward facing, cot sleeping, pram pushing kind of Mum... and my kids survived! |
