While many here speak of having their first child or two, or X1 multiple birth, naturally.
What some who never thought could have children then through IVF, a couple of multiples births, they then have say 5 or 6 or more!
How did you cope?

Ps: Just see there is a similar thread, however what I mean is, having 5 plus say through X2 - 3pregnancies or more ... not just x1 set of twins or X1 set of triplets.

Why do you wonder?
My great-grandfather came from a family with 4 sets of twins and then another 8 single births. Guess you make the most of what you have.

Sounds like a lot of work but would be pretty rare I would say. If you are talking about IVF it is uncommon to put more than one embryo back in NZ so multiples aren't that likely to occur.

Why as was just General conversation as this is headed under, so good to hear others stories how they cope, but Multiple, Multiples can more rearer nowadays.
I had a friend who was 25 yrs old, she had five under five yrs, a set of twins in the mix.( no IVF) sadly stress was to great, and her relationship did not survive.
And yes back then my Great grandfather fathered 16,my Mum from family of 7, .... but times have changed, like there was no benefit systems why back then -:) and generally family support seems to also be different in some people life's nowadays.
Just a general topic thankyou.

So it's not really multiples related but more the number of children in the family you are talking about?

I think you just would have to cope somehow, and laugh hysterically (sp!) at the mother that moans at how busy she is and how hard it is etc with her one little baby!!!
Big vans.... And the older kids grow up fast...

Do you mean 'Trollololol...' ?
My granddad said his father used to tell him that all the daughters helped raise the younger ones and the males when they were old enough went off to work. Would be very different now days but imo if you choose to have a big family then it is just something you have to deal with.

I don't get this post...when you have kids & you have more than one you cope, you learn to cope. You should not have kids it you don't think you can & if you have more than one at a time & don't want another set of more than one then don't get pregnant...
Your friend who was 25 with 5 under 5 would of know what she was getting into to start with.
