Can anyone tell me the best place to buy glass jars for storing homemade chutney/jam? We have hundreds of plums so I want to have a go at making some on the weekend.
Thanks

Briscoes have them, and quite often have 40-50% off.

I just raided an opshop...they have shelves and shelves of them.
I only use them to store baking stuff though so not sure about how they seal for jams etc.

Trade Me is also a good place to look, search under preserving.
I bought a heap a couple of winters ago when we had a stack of feijoas.
For jams and chutneys I re-use glass jars such as jam jars, pasta sauce etc. You can find them in op shops for 50c each (that's what I apid at our Salvation Army shop).
