Hi Everyone!
Thanks for reading this. Im new here, 27 with PCOS, TTC for 2+ years with my husband.
Im driving everyone a bit crazy with my bio clock at the moment, and Id love some advice on how to get this baby thing growing!
It seems everyone around me is falling pregnant with no effort whatsoever, and Im genuinely happy for them, yet sad for myself.
How do you all deal with this?

I don't have any easy answers as to how to deal with it - it's hard work, no? All I can say is hang in there.
What help are you getting at the moment? Are you seeing Fertility Associates or someone similar?

Hi - I can totally sympathise with the hard road of trying to have a baby...as can loads of ladies on here.
What do you do at the moment, do you chart your temperatures, or montitor ovulation at all?
Have you had any tests done to check for ovulation (given you have PCOS as I do too!) etc etc

Hey chic! I'm in the same boat. PCOS and have been trying for 2 years for our third. Would reccomend seeing a private gynocologist and maybe getting on clomid to regulate your cycles. I'm on my second cycle of clomid this month and just having a normal once a month period and confirmed ovulation is bliss
Before this I was lucky to get a period once every three or four months! And even then who knows if I was ovulating. My gynocologist told me that with PCOS OV test aren't reliable either so that won't be any help. The only way to know for sure is with a blood test.

Wow thank you, you ladies are so helpful. At this point im just monitoring myself, I have an appt booked in 10 days when im supposed to be ovulating to go see my gp for testing but to be honest im not 100% sure what that means exactly.
Im hoping to go on clomid soon, but very unsure of the process required.

Your GP can do blood tests at different points in your cycle to see if you're ovulating. It's a great first step, because if you're not ovulating you can't make babies . Do you have regular cycles, or are they all over the place? Regular cycles are a good (although not failproof) sign that you probably are ovulating, ones that are all over the place can be a warning sign that you're not. But the bloods will tell for sure.
It depends on who you see as far as the clomid goes GPs can prescribe it and tell you to just take a pill on days X-Y of your cycle and that's it. Fertility specialists often tend to take a more monitored approach and will give you a blood test to see how you're reacting and often a scan to see how many follicles are developing. If you've got one or two good ones, they send you off with instructions to do the deed lots over the next few days, if you've got too many (as can sometimes happen with clomid) they suggest you hold fire in case you end up with octuplets (That's why they often tend to dissapprove of the traditional GP approach, as with that you have no idea how many eggs you're producing and how many babies you could end up with )
Any more questions, ask away - there's also plenty of experts down in the infertility boards if you were interested in popping in there

I also had transvaginal (?) scans over a cycle to check my follicles were growing and that the egg was released so that check can also be done.

Hi ladies, we have been trying for a baby for nearly two years now and with two pregnancies ending around 9 weeks, and many false pregnancies.
I have decided to listen to a family member who has done this diet that balances your hormones. The man who started the diet made it for women who could not get pregnant and who kept miscarrying, but then realised it was working as a weight loss program.
So cut the long story short have have been on this diet for 4 weeks now and have lost 10kg and i was normally ovulating around CD 20 i oved on CD 13 i am now 7days Post ovulation.
I dont want to sound like im trying to sell this diet but it was worked for me and i feel great and now that its sorting my body out i know im doing the right thing and have should of listened when i was told to do it.
Also my cousin is on this diet and has found out she is 4months pregnant and didn't even know she had no MS like she did with her other 5children.
I hope this will help someone and i will keep you posted on if i am preg this month :)

welcome Flossie- theres lots of lovely ladies on here in exactly the same boat. i have PCOS too, cycles up to 90 days long, 30+ cysts on each ovary and not ovulating at all.. did the day 2 and 21 bloods (youll be given these too, will show if you ovulate or not by measuring the different hormone levels in your system..) and a scan to confirm the cysts.. (you can have PCOS with or without cysts) then was put on clomid and on the wait list for IUI, as my gynae said to me that the clomid might not work with the state of my ovaries... the 1st cycle of clomid nothing happened, no ov or anything, so they coupled that with metformin, cycle 2 i got a BFP but lost it at 5 weeks, but the 3rd cycle we got our sticky BFP, a breeze of a pregnancy, perfect natural birth and now our gorgeous DD is 10 months old and just gorgeous so hang in there hun, youll have your baby in your arms before you know it, and hang around here with the other ladies still trying for their wee bub. i found the support and advice on here so amazing! good luck x x x

oh and to deal with it? well i guess everyones different, but i (and many others on here) totally know what you mean about happy for them-sad for you.. and it sucks! my sister got her BFP and had her daughter before i even got pregnant! not to mention all my family and friends..and the aunty who every.single.time we visited WOULD NOT shut up hinting and hinting about having babies...grrrr... all you can do is TRY to be happy for your friends when it is their turn, and NEVER stop believing your turn will be soon, because it will be! and I found Ohbaby a fantastic place to vent on those bad days, and tell the girls how upset you are that your best friend is pregnant, and how much it sucks... you are in the best place to help get through this, and then people like you will come along wanting a baby so bad, like you are now, and once you have been through it all and out the other side, you will understand what they are feeling and can pay it forward
