Im looking at getting a new buggy cause I hate my current one. Wanting recommendation on the different P&T strollers out there and how people have found them.

I need something that takes a double seat, needs to be able to handle well in town and at the likes of the fieldays (have heard some are not great 'off road'). Looking at second hand on trademe but happy to pay to get something relativly new and in better condition.
Any thoughts welcome :)

I changed from a mountain buggy (by far the best!) to a P&T sport recently for the toddler seat and am very impressed. I've gone "off road" with it and other than being a little less manouverable than the MB it took it very well. The double seat option is great but i didn't realise that you need a cocoon for newborn in a recline position. Luckily my newest is a big chubbchubb and i can just use a head support thingee from the capsule and she is supported well enough.    My friend has a Vibe and it did not like being on a racecourse field at all. Too lightweight i think.

The Vibe isn't good for off road, but Sport and the Dash are all good. We have a Dash and love it.

we recently bought an explorer (replaces the sport) and are pretty disappointed with it performance-wise. But it does have some good points - I like the double config, the follow-the-sun hood, the foot brake and the fact that DD is really comfy in it. Its just fairly average off-road and pretty top-heavy (therefore unstable) and have nearly tipped it a few times reversing through farm gates or over rough ground. Good for around town though. If i was to replace it, it would be with a MB duet (side-by-side but the same width as an urban) or a MB plus one.

We have an Explorer and love it, I don't do any off roading so it's just for around town, walks to the park etc and it's fantastic. Love the hood that moves to follow the sun and of course the doubles kit is awesome and very necessary for our age gap I'd definitely recommend it

Oh my lord, squoggs i didn't realise MB did a plus one?? I've been waiting for that for years and gave up hope. MB are by far the best for off road, i have an urban that has done some amazing milage and is so user friendly. Pity the plus one looks a bit weird with the extra toddler. Then again, looks aren't everything!

I have a Dash and HATE IT! Biggest piece of junk that you spend $1000 on! Just my opinion :-)

hi, we had a mountain buggy for our first boy but then had to get a P&T as our second son came along 20 months later. We have a Vibe. At first we didn't like it as we had problems with the front wheel but we took it back to the shop who confirmed it was a design fault and so replaced the wheel assembly at no cost. The new ones come with the new wheel design. Since having the new wheel we have loved it! We lived in Vietnam (where on-road is the same as off-road anywhere else) and have had no problems, but take it everywhere. The great thing is that unlike most of the others, you can fold it with the doubles kit on!

my model is a E3 V2 which is about 5 years old, it is fab and there are properly a few of these models on trademe atm. You can buy spare parts and seats from the philandted.com website

Id be buynig one of these are you properly get one for $150-$350 depending on how much accessories (extra seat./cocoon / covers etc) you get with it much better than spending $1000+ IMO

My cousin is a nanny and she always raves that it is the best model P&T e3v2 whenever she has my Miss3 out of all the models of prams she has used ( she has no car and so always uses the clients buggy / pram to run kids / babies to preschool/kindy etc so she has done loads of walking with various prams/babies/toddlers)

Surprising to hear you don't like your dash 1st time preggies - we love ours, never seen them for $1K though that sounds pricey.

meant to say that one of the features of E3v2 is that the front wheel can be on swivel for in town and change to fixed wheel with the push of a button for off road.

I love my Dash.
It gets a thrashing. I use it every day. I am not a runner, but there are definitely times I've had to run with it when late for kindy and it handles beautifully.

I can push it up hills with one hand, even with both kids in it, it's that easy to handle (and I am by no means strong!)

We have a dash which we LOVE we paid over 1k with the covers and cocoon and also the bassinet/peanut.
It gets a total hammering in malls, outdoors, on the beach up hills down hills etc.
Its fab to push and DD must like it cos she sleeps in it regularly ;)
It has a big basket, the main seat can be at lots of different heights,
We also had the peanut when baby was newborn - don't think you can use this which two kids.

Its pretty hard wearing we switch it between cars alot and also I cleane dit last weekend and most of it comes off!

We also have a qunniy Buzz - which i hate!Fine for the mall but thats about it - small basket hard to push one handed etc odd sitting positions (also so good for two kids in your case)
