Hi there

I was wondering if anyone has had any success with any particular courses of treatment for low sperm motility?

We've had success with IVF twice before but were hoping that we might be able to improve DH's sperm motility enough to concieve #3 without the docs' help.

I was wondering about naturopaths in Wellington that specialise in male fertility and any recommendations, and whether supplements like Menevit and others had been useful for anyone else? I know of the usual recommendations like boxers, no laptops on laps, cycling etc.

Thx!

I give my husband zinc and vitamin c pills during ttc because he's a smoker and i think it would improve his sperm

I would go see a naturopath. We went to see one / medical herbalist, she said that she's had heaps of success in improving sperm quality & quantity. I had issues, dh had less issues but she put him on stuff anyway. DH hasn't been retested this is our 1st month trying again so can't give any results as to whether things have improved, but she made me think that they would! She's certainly improved my cycles!

BTW, she told us to 'not try' for 3-4mths as thats how long it takes for sperm to regenerate, get from 'birth' to maturity.

Sperm and eggs, that is - about 100 days.

Just to update, I just got a +ve preg test so I am very happy with naturopaths at the moment. Can't do too much harm to give it a go (if you can afford it).
