A couple of months ago I did a Lay-By for the kids for xmas at a toy shop. I have only paid a small amount, $70 & was intending on paying it off in a couple of weeks, but I have been feeling unhappy with it & want to cancel it.
I am happy to spend the money I have paid on it in store, not happy if I got charged the 10% cancellation fee they say may be charged. We are regular shoppers there.
So just wondering if anyone cancelled lay-bys before?

I did this today - double up on a few things that she got for her birthday - this was at the warehosue so might be a bit different - but the lady told me to avoid the cancelation fee - to pay the hole amount off then she refudned what we didn't want - back onto my eftpos card? I would ahve been happy to spend in store tho so maybe thats a opition to pay it off then return what you don't want?

That's an idea..maybe I will just say that to them as it is $600 to pay on it. I shop there all the time so they know me & I am hoping they would rather I still shop there than go else where...well I am hoping.
