Hey, just wondering if anyone has been referred to the Christchurch Maternal Specialist Unit and what their experience has been? I have been given an elevated risk for Down's (high nuchal measurement but normal blood test results).

I was as I had to have an elective c.section due to breathing difficulties and then I also had raised blood pressure.

I was under Dave Peddies team and I found them to be really awesome!!  All the doctors I saw were really nice and answered all my questions and didn't make me feel silly for asking them.

Hope you have a good experience too

Awesome, thankks Buttersmum! I had my first appointment yesterday (baby looked completely normal with NO soft markers for Downs but having to go back there for the anomaly scan in 4 weeks). I'm under Dr Jim Bingham and he seems to be really nice as well. For once I had complete non judgement on the things I said...what a change from alot of doctors...
