Gold formulas have been known to constipate babies, but b/f babies can go for days and days with out pooping. Does he seem constipated?

Maybe switch from the Gold formula to the standard formula. But AandC's mum is right, bf babies can go days without pooping.

I would give your midwife or LMC a call if you are worried, otherwise plunketline.

I'd give any of the above clover mentioned a call just to check as im not sure how much even a little formula can change things, but my exclusively breastfed boy was a once a week - 10 days pooer from about that age, still is. Not constipated just infrequent. Doc and Plunket both said its fine/normal :)

my plunket nurse said the other day that they (nurses/drs) can feel when a baby is constipated by feeling their stomachs. i agree you should ask the LMC to have a good feel and see what she says. i thought BF babies going without poos was later.
