I had no idea where to put this so decided here was as good a place as any...
For the last week or so my nipples have been really sore when feeding...like they are in the first couple of weeks. I haven't had my first PP AF yet so did a preg test today which was BFN (despite possibly having other symptoms - but it could all be in my head). No blocked ducts, no mastitis, no change to latch or new teeth... Any ideas what it could be or how to fix it? Have a look in his mouth & if there is white bits around his cheek that will indicate thrush. ------------- Kel http://lilypie.com">

Can you define sore? Mine always gt more sensitive around af but just feel a bit overused if its thrush it uually a stinging pain . Also has bubs cut any teeth lately that could be affe ting his latch that may cau pain ? ------------- http://lilypie.com">  http://lilypie.com">

The cycle before I got pg my nipples were extremenly sensitive and I was in agony feeding DS, it seemed to be after ov and lasted until AF finished. It was completely random as I hadn't experienced anything like that before.
Hopefully it disappears soon for you -------------

I've had thrush before, right at the beginning...don't think it's the same but will have a check of his mouth in the morning, just to be sure. I didn't even think of that...it was excruciating last time.
This is more like increased sensitivity I guess...a bit like they're raw and worn out, like the early days. Might be something to do with my cycle (whatever that is!) as I've felt a bit crampy for the last week or so too. Just came back to check the date of this thread and it was about a month ago so maybe things are kicking back into action... I have had sore nipples again for a couple of days. Really really sore and out of the blue. Still no AF...but maybe on the way?! ------------- http://lilypie.com">

Could you be ovulating?? I don't know how random a suggestion that is lol but my nipples were always more sensitive when OVing and BFing -------------
