Subject: Two questions re Novalac reflux formula

DD2 has been diagnosed by the doctor and pediatrician with reflux and we have been recommended to continue with Novalac reflux formula. Two questions:
1) What is the cheapest option/place of buying the stuff? can you get it in bulk?
2) We are spening six weeks in the UK in October - is there an equivalent for sale over there or should we take supplies?
thanks!

Even if there is an equivalent over there you might not be guaranteed that it's ingredients are the same (think Cadbury's chocolate )
Personally I would take a stash with you. I'm sure with both girls having full baggage allowance you won't be stuck for space.

i would take own supplies that way you know baby isnt going to have any further problems like adjusting to something that might be a bit different in their formulas. also might pay to talk to your travel agent as well to make sure you are allowed to take it into the country as they are pretty strict with food and food products that way you are not spending alot of money to get there and find out you arent allowed it in

We used to use novalac before DS got diagnosed with dairy intolerance. I used to just watch out for it being on special and buy a few cans when it was. New world have it slightly cheaper than Countdown but only by about a dollar but still thats a dollar you don't spend. Don't buy it at the chemist as it's always more. I agree that if you're allowed to bring it, then I would just stock up and bring the same one as changing formulas can be a nightmare. But if not, most reflux formulas are prob similar but novalac is whey based not caesin based- so make sure whatever one you buy is whey based too (caesin supposed to be harder to digest).
