I came off the pill in March and so my cycles are a bit up and down but my previous cycle was 25 days. I was due on last Thursday and 7 days on still no sign!

But I know I'm not pregnent cos I've done three tests at various stages since 10DPO (the most recent was the day after AF was due).

So where's my period gone? This is the first time in my life I've wanted it to start asap so we can get trying again.

After coming off the pill its normal for your cycles to be out of wack. It can take 6 months or more for things to settle down and get back to a normal rhthym. I hope AF comes soon.

Hi there, I just thought I would pop in and share my story as briefly as possible.

I came off pill in November 2010, cycle 1 was 40 days, cycle 2 was 115 days and by day 40ish of cycle 3 I paid for a fertility specialist appointment as 6 months had past and I wanted answers. It turned out I had PCOS and am now in the first cycle of treatment to encourage ovulation.

Coming off the pill can definitely mess your body around a bit and some people can take 12 months to come right and be perfectly fine afterwards, some people can take just one cycle. But equally sometimes the pill can be masking a minor problem. I'm not trying to scare you and I'm sure you will come good soon enough but equally don't be afraid to speak to your doctor and seek additional help if time ticks by and things aren't starting to happen.

All the best for your journey and I hope you have success soon

Yea, my story was the same as MakeItWork's, except that I thought if you got your period you had to be ovulating, so left it longer to get checked (dumb!). It's probably just the pill playing with your cycles, but keep an eye on it.

Mystery solved!

10 days late I decided to test again and I got a positive!

Guess I may have iovulated later than expected and the negatives were because it was too soon.

Bloody hard working out due dates! According to an online one it's about Feb 15, which would be great for me as it means I could possibly go and watch the Ironman race in Taupo (March 3).

LOL Congrats kiwiking I was just going to post that when I came off the pill my cycle was fine (though I'd told I was sterile) then it didn't appear one month and all my preg tests were neg for AGES but I was def UTD as a bloodtest confirmed. Seems the same has happened with you

Awesome Explain to your midwife that you're not sure about your dates, and they can arrange a dating scan for you
