O.k. All you Mummys (and Daddys) out there...we are on the hunt for a booster seat. DS1 is now 18 kgs and 102 cm tall, the maximum weight and height for his evenflo tribute. :( perfect timing as DS2 is growing out of the capsule at an alarming rate.
So recommend the booster seat you are using or make a recommendation for one that fits our criteria....
1. Must carry a child to at least 36 kgs.
2. Would prefer it had Isofix.
3. Be on/around/under $300
4. Would love if it still had a 5 point harness for use beyond 18kgs.
5. Must not be ugly!! ie: soft pink in colour.
Thanks everyone!

The first thing that came to mind was the http://www.tweedle.co.nz/products/550-monterey-booster-seat-shadow.aspx - Monteray Booster . Covers all your points except doesn't harness, just uses the car seatbelt. They're on special $219 with free shipping.
Your best bet with harnessing over 18kg is the http://www.tweedle.co.nz/products/244-radian-xt-sl-car-seat-eclipse.aspx - Radian . It's more expensive at $519 (also free shipping) but it's hard to find boosters that harness past 18kg, all options are pricey.
ETA hmm, your DS might not be tall enough for the Monteray, you can try one at Baby on the Move if you have one near you.

My advice is to get one that can split into a backless booster when they are 5. My girl is still in a half booster in our car.

We bought an Evenflow Generations 65 for our DS because he was 18kg at 2 1/2 and I wanted to keep him in a 5pt harness. Its been great, he really likes it. It meets all your criteria (although I can't recall the price, I think it was closer to $300) but can be used for many years so worth it I think.

I have this same problem. My son has grown out of his seat, silly me only just realised he's grown out of it height wise too. He was 18kg and 104cm back in February. I really wanted to get him the Evenflo Generations 65 but we're so broke right now. I was thinking of the Monterey but not sure since it doesn't harness.
