Hi Ladies,
Was just wondering if anyone else has had a Hemangioma (Strawberry Birthmark) removed by surgery? My wee babe is booked in for monday(30th) to have her's taken off & im a tad nervous, so would love to hear other ppls storys, how long does the op take? how much pain is there afterwards? any info would be great! ***Please no comments on why are we not just leaving it to go away by itself, its located on her neck & rubs on everything & we have been told our best option was to remove it to avoid future complications.(not to mention, kids can be nasty!) I don't have any experience with the op, just wanted to wish you and your wee girl good luck for Monday.
DD has a small strawberry on her forehead near her hairline, but position-wise it hasn't been a problem. Can imagine one on the neck would be a constant source of irritation though. -------------

Hmm Im not sure but my DD has a big one on her finger tip(palm side). She never seems bothered by it luckily, I was worried she'd have to have it removed. ------------- |
