Hi Everyone

My DD has just turned 1, and has just moved up a size into toddler nappies. She is a tummy sleeper :) Drama is, every single morning she wakes up soaking wet, with wee all up her tummy and soaking through to her sleeping bag. I've tried a million brands of nappies, even tried boys ones because someone told me they have more absorbency at the front, but no help there :(

It's driving me crazy!! I really dont want to have to change her nappy in the night as there's no way she'd go back to sleep again. I've tried seeing if the crawler nappies still fit her, but she's way too big for them now.... but we never had this problem til she went up a size. What to do!?!?!

Is she soaking the nappy completely?

The little girl I look after is a tummy sleeper & her Mum puts her in huggies boys nappies at night. Have you tried those ones? Maybe phone them up and ask for a sample so that you don't have to buy a whole pack if they're not going to work.

Do you know if it's leaking where the leg is or the tummy?

The other one that lady uses is the nappy pants, they go really high up the tummy.

Thanks! Yes the nappy is soaked through completely, she drinks heaps of water in the day and still has a BF at night, it's definitely leaking from the top where it sits on her tummy. I'll try ringing huggies, didn't know they'd send free stuff! You rock xx

I had the same problem, my DD was a tummy sleeper and would leak out the top. I used boys huggies (more absorbant at the front) and they mostly did the trick. Still had a few leaks sometimes but most of the time was dry.

LOL TP, I'm not sure if they do but if you plead your case I dont' see why they won't they give out enough new born samples so don't see why they don't do the other sizes. Just ask for one of each?? Hey if they see it as getting another customer they'll do it

I had the same problem. I used to put a cloth booster inside a Huggies and that did the trick

Interested to see how they boys nappies work - I have a tummy sleeper too so may run into this issue once she starts sleeping through the night!

We had the same problem with nappies at night for awhile and switched to cloth nappies and that seemed to do the trick (in particular the Pop In dream-dri or the bitti boo with lots of boosters) but funnily since he's moved to the toddler size he's actually been fine in the huggies ones at night.

The other thing we did was put a cloth nappy over the top of the disposible to soak up the extra.

I was going to say have you tried the next size up nappies as the absorbency increases with the size

If you want to try some cloth ones, the kind I found that never leaked even on a very heavy wetter were called Eenee Weenees, an Australian made overnap. You just fold a flat cloth nappy inside them, or a prefold like Real Nappies. Great for overnight and quite cute too.
