I love both my highchairs.
Have an Ikea molded plastic one which is fab, no nooks and crannies for food to hide in. Legs also come off for taking away, with legs off can also sit on floor for picnics etc. This one has a inflatable cushion and harness so is best for my younger one. http://www.trademe.co.nz/baby-gear/feeding/high-chairs/auction-373994039.htm Like this one but my mum got it from Ikea Aus and it was very cheap. Has tray too. Also have a Mocka wooden highchair which my 3yo uses. Great for him but it has no harness so the little one just falls off it all the time. Slips under the tray when the tray is down. I'd say don't get one of those ones with the soft padded seating cos that must be a pain to keep clean. And if you go away a lot look for a portable one. Trying to feed wriggling child puree on your lap is not fun. I've sworn always to take one now. ------------- http://lilypie.com">

| I have a portable "Me Too" phil and teds one. I love it, we just clip on to the table and DD sits with us for meals. We go away a lot and it works great everywhere. Some tables have a lip on though which it doesn't work on. It was cheap to about $50 new. And you can just wash it in the sink with the dishes. |

If the Mocka original is the plastic one i'd totally recommend it, we had one from the Baby Factory first (cant remember its brand or name) but it was SUCH a pain to clean! -------------  Angel Baby Aug '12, Feb '13 |

I have the mocka designer white highchair, which is similar to the ikea one. I love it, as its simple and easy to clean. We didn't start feeding bubs till he was 6months old, so was able to sit in it fine. So if you were going to start feeding earlier it might not be that great.
I lots of people also have the wooden highchar, and love it. That would be my second choice. I'm just not that keen on the ones that have fabric/padding as they just collect the food.  ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

| I never used a high chair - in the early days I would just hold my son on my lap and when he was bigger, he would just sit on any chair or eat at his own little table. But we did have quite a cool little portable wooden chair that you strap onto a normal adult dining chair so bubs can sit at the table with you. You can also add legs to it so it stands alone, so a toddler can use it sitting at a little table for drawing etc. I forget what the brand was though, sorry. |
