so DH is still very much loving being B/fed, I however am almost totally over it.

He will happily drink cows milk throughout the day and so its just a b/feed on waking in the am and before bed at night.

What is the best way to get this all finished with ?? We would like to start trying for a number two and i do not want to be pregnant and still bf.
Also i understand stopping Bf may help to concieve ?

Should I just start offering a bottle of cow when he wakes up and before bed ?
What should I say to him ?

Advise...ideas...

Thanks ladies
:)

I weaned E with she was 24 months so slightly older but it still should apply. I stopped both feeds at the same time but started in evening. So in the afternoon I told her that Mummy had no more milk now and that she was such a big girl now that she could have milo before bed. So i gave her, her milo after her bath at same time she would normally have a b/f and made sure that I gave her lots of cuddles. Then when she woke up early the next morning (5am) asking for a feed I reminded her that mummies milk was all gone and after a quick cuddle she went back to sleep and then she had a drink of milk with her breakfast at 7.

And that was it....after that she asked a couple more times and was perfectly fine when I said no more milk

I liked I could explain it to her and she understood- made it heaps easier

Ha ha ha ha

When I weaned my son at 21 months I just told him 'no more milk', he was over it in 2 days. Had other friends who put band aids over their nipples and said they were sore and didn't work anymore.

Hehe, I giggled too.

For the morning feed, can your DH get up to him first thing? I'm weaning DD atm, and DH gets her up now and says lets go and have breakfast and takes her to the kitchen and feeds her quick smart. Still in her pjs as any delays and she comes hunting for me.

I am dropping one feed at a time, so still giving a bedtime feed but she seems fast losing interest. But I am pg so my milk tastes yuck and there is hardly any there anyway.

I'm doing the same as T-Rex. I was lucky in that DD pretty much dropped her night feed on her own so we are now just on the one morning feed.

I must say that meing pg does seem to be helping the process!
