I vaguely recall the big surfboard ones being the most comfortable and the long ones with wings a pain to deal with. But that was a couple years ago now... what's happening in the world of maternity pads?

| I loved the libra ones. They did have wings though but i liked that because they stayed in place better. I was terrified when i unfolded one as they are HUGE and long. The homebrand woolworths ones are very similar to the hospital ones, weirdly, but the inside tends to bunch up. I liked them for the first few days when i was changing every half hour anyway. |

Budget are really good. They are impressed, like libra etc (as in to hold the inner stuffing in place iykwim)and for $2ish a good price. No wings.
Where as the homebrand are useless, like cotton wool and it bunches. Then when I was going out etc, I would use libra etc. But for at home budget all the way. ------------- http://alterna-tickers.com">

I found home brand to be TERRIBLE...they bunched up and the inside stuff would actually fall out and make a mess.
Libra are best. And the woolworths 'select' ones aren't too bad. |

I had heard the homebrand were good - i got packs of 18 for $1.80...but hearing this im not sure...although everyones different yeah?? I have like 6 packets lol -------------

The Homebrand ones are crap. They do bunch up. And the

| They absolutely bunch up, they're like cotton wool in a bag - but i found them excellent for the first few heavy days when you were changing every 10min or so anyway esp since they were so cheap! |

I would second the make use of the hospital ones - they kept offering me them so I took them, even if I didn't really need any at the time!
I had stocked up on the Libra ones for at home which I found fantastic, even with stitches! Didn't use them all 'cause I didn't actually bleed for that long (yay!  ) the hospital ones did the job just fine while I could get them.------------- http://lilypie.com" rel="nofollow">

I liked the Stayfree ones too...much softer than the Libra ones and great for the early days, particularly with stitches! Took me a while to give up my maternity pads...just liked the extra padding when sitting down!  ------------- http://lilypie.com">

The Hospital ones! When I got discharged the nurse gave me a free 7 pack! No idea why!

Yes, the hospital ones were great! I ended up sneaking quite a few when I left.
I think I used Budget ones after that, and they were fine. I think I had some Stayfree too. Didn't notice any problems with any of the ones I used! |

Homebrand are good for the first few days when its real heavy. But yeah they do bunch up. Nice and cheap tho. -------------

following my surgery when i had to use them I found the Libra were nicest for absorbency and 'dry' feeling but i lacked the padding i wanted, so I found Stayfree to be the best. I never got any of the cheaper store branded ones as dad got sent out shopping and the man restocking the shelves said "my wife likes these brands best" and gave him them ones.

Hospital ones are good while you use them. The nurse gave me heaps when i left too, she said 'just take as much as you like if they dont get used the just go the spca...' i was like whaat.. -------------

I didnt use the normal maternity pads, i used adult absobancy pads sort of like an adult diaper but just a pad(used for weak bladders control) i got them from a nappy store. i found these awsome in that first day or 2 and overnight as they didnt leak at all. ------------- Mummy to 4 boys Samuel - 18.6.05 Rory - 15.7.06 Mason - 13.06.08 Emmett - 24.01.10 Baby #5 - cooking |

I only used hospital, stayfree and libra. I liked them all. But the hospital ones felt thin and so I wore two at a time. Then changed to stayfree for like a week when I sat at home attched to the couch coz they had a bit of extra padding for stitches. Then I changed to libra and loved them, they felt so comfty and not like I had a giant pad on.
If when I get AF back she's as heavy as pre baby i've decided i'll use the libra maternity pads for over night lol |

Take the hospital ones they're yours, used stayfree and libra as well only needed them for the first 2 weeks after that I switched to normal libra san pads.
