Dont know if anyone can help thought i would try-
I had something made for me but unfortunately they didnt make it to the design so I got a refund. We were paying it so off so some payments were made by cash/EFTPOS and a couple by credit card. The company said they would refund the whole amount to my credit card which I was fine with as i didnt have to go back into the shop (they took my credit card number over the phone)
The problem is the refund was done on Wednesday last week and it still isnt on my credit card! The compnay has said they have done everything they can and I should follow it up with my bank. My bank says there is nothing that they can do and to go back to the company.
Any ideas on where i can go from here? The refund is over $1000 so i really worried! I have the customer copies for the paper work from the company- 2 receipts and the hand written credit card refund voucher

If they done a manual refund through their eftpos machine, then it should have printed off a receipt (kinda like a normal eftpos receipt until you look at it closer). First up I'd ask them for a copy of that.... (well, thats how it used to be when I was working when we done it!)
Um, not sure what else sorry!

It can take a while to come through. Ring the bank and see if its pending.
Or check your available balance, it might show there without showing on the statement/internet banking.

I have had the same problem & it took me 2 weeks & a couple of phone calls before it showed. First I was told it was done then I got told it would be done. They gave me 3 date in the end, but I did get it all back.
Just keep ringing them & stay in their face.

if its a manual creditcard refund IE not through their machine but through a manual docket then it can take up to 2weeks. If its through the eftpos machine then it should show up in two working days from memory. As MooCow said ring and ask for the receipt thats come from their eftpos machine saying that its a refund. It will say refund and the first couple of numbers from your card or the last couple numbers from your card I can't remember so you should be able to match it to your card. Double check that they have actually refunded your card and not double charged you in era (done that before) or not refunded to their merchant card, thats a bit harder to do however

Interesting, i would say it was done manually due to the hand written voucher thing. My bank said it should take 5 days max and its well over that time frame. I might wait until Wednesday next week to see what happens. I have to borrow money from my mum to pay for the placement

I returned something to a shop about 2 months ago and they refunded to my credit card. It took about 10 days for the credit to show on my card and I was really worried. The bank said it was "within their processing timeframe" whatever that meant. It took ages but did happen eventually.

Gosh that is good I had something refunded to my credit card in the states and they said up to 30 days. NZ is really on to it. Don't forget business days as opposed to actual days as well. I would say allow two weeks tops and then start harrassing everyone.

Maybe it is 2weeks? I haven't worked in over 2years so could be wrong.
