I am using the baby first nappies, they have inserts that lay inside but arent pockets. When do you change the outer cover bit?

I don't use those nappies but have lots of similar type ones. If they haven't got poo on them then I hang them outside to air for a couple of hours between uses and if they smell like wee when I go to get them in then I put them through a wash. It's probably after 4-5 uses. Oh unless my boyfriend puts them in the nappy pail with the other stinky nappies then they always need a wash.

My son was an extremely heavy wetter when we used Baby First when he was little, so never got to use the outer more than once! But you'd only need to change it if its pooey, or wet through. Just air them out between changes. I'd probably only re-use it 1 (or 2 at the most) more times though.
