Has anyone used a cleaner or cleaning service on the North Shore?
What do they charge per hour? I hate admitting this but I just cant cope. I'm working full time and am on my own with the kids on the weekends. I'm managing the cooking, the laundry and the every-day stuff like the dishes & vacuuming but I really need help to get my house back in shape. I'm hoping to find someone who could just do a couple of hours a month to help me with the heavier cleaning stuff (because if my husband asks me one more time when I am going to get to it I may either rip his head off or do the cleaning in the middle of the night with his toothbrush). ------------- http://lilypie.com">

I can't comment on rates, but just wanted to say that there's no need to be embarrassed about not keeping up. You should see the state of ours, and I don't work! -------------

Working full time and having kids alone at weekends is hard work!
I only work 3 days a week and find I can easily justify having a cleaner. Best $50 p/w I pay for sanity! I don't know about Auckland but I know a lot of companies in welly do weekly/fortnightly/monthly services. |

No suggestions, but have you looked on http://www.nocowboys.co.nz/search/north-shore-city-and-suburbs/cleaning-services/ - No Cowboys for reviews? I used that website to find a moving company a few years back. |

I'm with Tishy on it being the best $50 you'll spend (or $55 in our case). We have someone once a fortnight and it's such a lovely treat! (We used to have an incredibly messy flatmate and as I was the only one who ever lifted a finger, we got cleaners!) We have a lovely couple from Green Acres. We chose Green Acres as they are a reputatable company, and you are covered by their insurance should anything get broken, or go missing.
