My DS (just over a year) has woken the last two nights around 3-4am and will not settle. He cries lying down, cries when picked up, continues crying when being rocked, nothing will pacify him. I have given him pamol and that doesn't even cut it. Eventually after about two hours I have given in and fed him (bf) and he has finally gone to sleep, but he whimpers even then.
I am about to take him to the Dr but I suspect they won't be able to help, as he seems okay during the day. Anyone got any ideas as to what could be causing this? |

Night terrors? Does he sort of still seem asleep and not really respond to anything you're doing? My DD doesn't get them often but the only way I can calm her is to pop her in a warm bath. Teething?
Ear infection?? When DS has had them he has seemed 100% during the day and terrible at night. Would be worth getting him checked even just to rest your mind there isn't anything going on. -------------

I would say teething...my kids have always cried in the night from teething, and nurofen is A LOT better in my opinion for teething  ------------- |
