The new channel 4. Have you lot seen it. They are playing kidddies programmes from 6 til 10am and they are way better than TV2 ones. Like sesme street, pingu, thomas, bob the bulider and the wiggles. Oh and Barney!!!!

We have sky so channel four has replaced C4. There is already a few kids channels and now only one music channel (DS looooves music and it's good to have playing in the background while he plays) so i'm a bit gutted really lol.
I put it on in the mornings while he haas breakfast etc but he's not very interested. He dances to the theme songs and thats about it. I guess we'll appriciate it more when he's older.

They play them in the afternoon too. DS and I caught an episode of Sesame Street at the hospital yesterday and DD watched it again this morning - made me feel all nostalgic.

I was gutted about the whole change, I LIKED C4 the way it was, now all I have is Juice tv for music I liked that if I didnt like the music on one channel, I could switch to another, and their themed music sets etc...
We already have plenty of kids channels (yay for sky!) so def not impressed with them swapping one of my fave channels for more kids stuff

they didnt do much public surveying on whether we would like a new channel.
most of nz prob would have said " i would like to have both channels available" rather than c4 being on freeview only

if you have freeview c4 has changed to chanel 9 (replacing c42) it now just plays music all day . I think the new programmes are great , DD LOVES Barney lol , shes walking round the house the last 3 mornings sayinf "Narney, Narney"

My only complaint is that its not a HD channel, so the good adult programmes on a night arent in HD. (Like ANTM that used to show on TV3 in HD now isnt!!)

Love it.
Way better than some of the junk they had on C4 before and the kids shows are much more appealing than TV2 or Freeview.

I think the shows are way better then what used to be on the channel, and also whats on kidzone and disney over all those shows. Plus Wiggles and Dorothy are on at a better time instead of 11ish they're on 9ish much better time then kidzone oh and I don't even think playhouse disney has wiggles anymore and DD LOVES them.
I must admit I much prefer as told by ginger and barney etc then whats on ch2 which is bloody dragon ball or something. No wonder all our kids are growing up wanting to do is playfight. Fine don't put major preschool stuff on when there are older kids but I don't want my preschooler watching that sort of thing consistently.

DS's favourite shows all seem to be unique to Playhouse Disney (Special Agent Oso, Imagination Movers and Mickey Mouse).
